Maria is a Philippine-registered nurse who ranked among the Top 10 nationwide in the National Nursing Licensure Examination. She has extensive clinical experience as a clinical, ICU, and endoscopy nurse, with international practice spanning the Philippines and Saudi Arabia. Her global nursing experience is a key asset to Simply Maria, strengthening clinical excellence and culturally responsive care. While working in Canada as a Personal Support Worker (PSW), Maria recognized the growing demand for high-quality home care, built a strong network throughout Sault Ste. Marie, and served numerous private households—bringing the compassion and family-centred values known as Maria’s touch to the heart of Simply Maria.

Mara holds a degree in the Arts and furthered her education in Canada by completing the Personal Support Worker (PSW) program at a local college, graduating with honours. She later obtained a diploma in Paralegal Law, strengthening her expertise in regulatory and legal frameworks.
Drawing on her combined clinical experience and legal education, Mara applied best practices in care delivery while establishing Simply Maria. Her PSW background informed the quality and structure of services, while her Paralegal training enabled her to independently develop and implement the organization’s policies, procedures, and by-laws, ensuring operational integrity, compliance, and excellence in care.
